S. Chandrasekhar, whose complete name is\u00a0Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar was an Indian\u00a0astrophysicist and spent considerable time before moving to the UK (for Ph.D.) and then the US. His work on\u00a0white dwarfs and black holes gave him much-needed recognition.<\/p>\n

As we all know that Google used to celebrate the birth and death anniversary of\u00a0people, places and things. S Chandrasekhar was born on today date, 107 years ago in Lahore (Pakistan)<\/a>, which was part of British India at that time in 1910.<\/p>\n

His work which was recognized after 30 years and him one of the most famous Astrophysicist. According to the Open University, English astronomer Sir Arthur Eddington\u00a0persuaded Chandrasekhar to present his findings at the Royal Astronomical Society in London on January 11, 1935.<\/p>\n
