Sitara Devi was world famous Kathak Dancer, born on 8th<\/sup> Nov 1920, <\/strong>in Kolkata. As an eminent Indian dancer of the classical\u00a0Kathak\u00a0style of dancing.\u00a0Rabindranath Tagore<\/a>\u00a0described her as\u00a0Nritya Samragini, meaning the empress of dance<\/a>, after watching her performance when she was just 16 years old<\/a>. The epithet continues, and she is still described as the\u00a0Kathak queen.<\/p>\n
