In the year 1914 when the epidemic hit Ahmedabad, the condition of the mill workers deteriorated further and they approached Anasuya Sarabhai to take up their cause. She gave an ultimatum to the mill owners and <a href=\"https:\/\/thebetterindia.com\/73140\/anasuya-sarabhai-labour-movement-ahmedabad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">even went against her brother, Ambalal<\/a>, who was the then-president of the Mill Owners\u2019 Association, demanding better wages and working ambiance for the laborers.
