As per different media sources, Versova police on Wednesday arrested a television actor for allegedly raping a <\/span>23-year-old fashion<\/a> designer after he had been in a live-in relationship with her for the last two months. Actor <\/span>Piyush Sahdev<\/a> (35) committed the offense after gaining the victim’s trust and promising to help her shape her modeling and acting career.<\/span><\/p>\n

What’re the charges against Piyush Sahdev?<\/h3>\n

The Versova police arrested Sahdev after the victim lodged a complaint on November 20.<\/span><\/p>\n

The senior police inspector Kiran Kale confirmed Sahdev’s arrest and said he is in police custody until November 2.<\/p>\n

“Sahdev has been booked under the Indian Penal Code section 376 (1) (rape),” said Kale.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sahdev was produced before the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Wednesday<\/span> which further sent him to police custody.<\/p>\n
