He soon relocated to Mumbai to quench his thirst for music and underwent music training. Later on, he was approached by a versatile personality <em>producer-director<\/em> and actor <em><strong>Guru Dutt<\/strong><\/em>, who made him compose for movies like \u2018Aar Paar\u2019, \u2018Mr. and Mrs.55\u2019 and \u2018C.I.D.\u2019, which also made a hat-trick of success. Nayyar<\/em>\u00a0was the only music composer who reached the top spot without having sung any single record for the legendary Lata Mangeshkar. Nayyar believed that Lata\u2019s vocals did not match his compositions.
