Born on August 16, 1968, Arvind Kejriwal<\/a> is the eldest among the three children born to Gobind Ram Kejriwal and Gita Devi in Diwani, Haryana. His father was an electrical engineer and a Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (BIT, Mesra) alumnus. Theirs was an upper-middle-class family where he spent his childhood across Hisar, Sonepat and Ghaziabad.<\/p>\n

Sonia Gandhi<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The first lady of the Indian National Congress and Gandhi bahu <\/em>was born to Stefano and Paula Maino in Lusiana, Italy. Born on December 9, 1946, Gandhi was raised in a traditional Roman Catholic Christian family.<\/p>\n

Stefano Maino<\/a> was a building mason by profession who later built a construction business in Obressano. Like Gandhi, her father too, had a strong political connection, being a loyal supporter of the National Fascist Party and Benito Mussolini<\/a>. He had also fought for\u00a0 Hitler\u2019s Wehrmacht on the Eastern Front. This was against the Soviet military during the World War II. Interestingly, Sonia and her sister, Nadia were named in the memory of the Italian participation in the Eastern Front.<\/p>\n

Born on June 5, the 46-yr old Chief Minister<\/a> if India’s largest state hails from a humble background with an ex-Forest ranger as a father. Anand Singh Bisht is in his 80s and continues to live in their native village in Pauri Garhwal, Uttar Pradesh. Being the second born among the four children in the family, Yogi completed his B.Sc in Mathematics from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University<\/a>, Uttarakhand. <\/em><\/p>\n

In the 1990s, he left home to join the Ram temple movement and has been deeply influenced by Mahant Avaidyanath, the chief priest of Gorakhnath Math. <\/em>Subsequently, he was titled ‘yogi\u2019 <\/em>and later succeeded his spiritual guru, <\/em>Mahant Avaidyanath himself.<\/p>\n

Dr. Manmohan Singh<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Father: <\/strong>Sri\u00a0Gurmukh Singh<\/em><\/h3>\n

Former Indian Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh<\/a> was an introvert child back in school, not that things have changed much. Born on September 26, 1932, Dr. Singh lost his mother at a very young age and spent his childhood in Gah, Punjab. The octogenarian was then raised by his paternal grandmother, who he was very close to. However not much is known about his father Sri Gurmukh Singh and mother, Smt. Amrit Kaur.<\/p>\n

The former Finance Minister has one sister and two brothers. His father was a business person dealing in trading, plantations, and textiles. Chidambaram\u2019s grandfather and uncles had also been the co-founders of United India Insurance,<\/a> Indian Bank, Annamalai University and Indian Overseas Bank.<\/p>\n
