Whenever someone calls Jeep! Suddenly, the image of an outdated Mahindra’s Indian SUV flashes on our mind. All of us have seen that in our childhood particularly in rural areas and countryside but Jeep Compass is the new thing! You’ll be surprised to know that Mahindra & Mohammed<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/a> (later became Mahindra & Mahindra), has locally manufactured (mostly assembled) their first SUV, on June 3rd, 1949. The first Willys Overland Jeep built in India by M&M Ltd. at the Assembly Plant, Mazagaon, Mumbai. And, they are still relevant to many, who are using it on a day-to-day basis. They sold many models from Wily MB and Jeep Station Wagon to the Armored version as well.<\/p>\n

Not only of country consumption they also Exported to other countries as well, that too way back in the late 1960s. As the below image of\u00a0Vehicles, export begins in 1969 and the first shipment is sent to Yugoslavia.<\/p>\n
