He was born in a <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.academia.edu\/9188597\/CHITPAVAN_BRAHMIN_ORIGIN_AND_HISTORY\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marathi Chitpavan Brahmin Hindu<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> family and spent his childhood with his siblings, Ganesh, Mainabai, and Narayan. And completed his graduation at \u2018Fergusson College\u2019 in Pune. Later he was offered a scholarship to <a href=\"https:\/\/rtiwala.com\/shanti-swaroop-bhatnagar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">study law in England<\/a>. The term \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/rtiwala.com\/gauri-lankesh-timeline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hindutva<\/a>,\u2019 was popularized by Savarkar through one of his works in 1921. He later even renounced medicines, which ultimately caused his death on February 26, 1966.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>4] A Revolutionary since teenage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Savarkar founded a youth group and named it \u2018<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prabhasakshi.com\/personality\/among-the-superintendents-of-freedom-struggle-were-veer-savarkar\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mitra Mela<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019. It was meant to coordinate revolutionary activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>5] Follower of Bal Gangadhar and Lala Lajpat Rai<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Radical political leaders like Lala Lajpat Rai, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, and Bipin Chandra Pal remains his inspirations. Also in London Savarkar inspired his fellow Indian students and formed an organization called \u2018<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Free India Society<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019, which encouraged Indians to fight for complete freedom from the British. He came up with a book titled \u2018<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/savarkar.org\/en\/encyc\/2017\/5\/22\/Indian-War-of-Independence-1857.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The History of the War of Indian Independence<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019, which was an inspiration for Indians to fight for their freedom. Though the British banned the book it attained great popularity in many countries. Savarkar also worked on a manual on making bombs and guerrilla warfare and distributed among his friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>6] A tutor for prisoners<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Savarkar used his time in jail by teaching some of his fellow prisoners to read and write. In 2001, Savarkar\u2019s biopic titled \u2018Veer Savarkar\u2019 got released after being in production for many years.
