So as a Tribute, our Government of India providing them pension and a few facilities for their significant\u00a0contribution in getting the freedom from Britishers.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-wrid=\"WRID-150100881966577594\" data-widgettype=\"staticBanner\" data-responsive=\"yes\" data-class=\"affiliateAdsByFlipkart\"><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><script async src=\"\/\/affiliate.flipkart.com\/affiliate\/widgets\/FKAffiliateWidgets.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/rtiwala.com\/team\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">RTIwala Team<\/span><\/a> <\/strong><\/em>researched and prepared an <em>Exclusive<\/em> report which we call it <a href=\"https:\/\/rtiwala.com\/category\/explains\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><strong>RTIwala Explains<\/strong><\/em><\/a>!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/32H50jj\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As per Freedom fighter &amp; Rehabilitation Division which works under the <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rtiwala.com\/mercy-petitions-rejected-president-pranab-mukherjee\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Ministry of Home Affairs<\/span><\/span><\/a>,<\/span> there are the following eligibility criteria\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A person who had suffered a minimum<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> imprisonment of six months on account of<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> participation in the freedom struggle.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A person who, on account of his participation<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> in the freedom struggle, remained<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> underground for more than six months.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Eligible dependents of martyrs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A person who, on account of participation<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> in the freedom struggle, was interned in<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> his home or external from his district for<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> the minimum period of 6 months.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A person whose property was confiscated or<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> attached and sold due to his participation in<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> the freedom struggle.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A person who, on account of participation in<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> the freedom struggle became permanently<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> incapacitated during firing or lathi charge.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A person who lost his Government job for<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> participation in the freedom struggle.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A person who was awarded the punishment of ten<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> or more strokes of caning\/flogging\/whipping<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> for his\/her participation in the freedom struggle.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">INA personnel are also eligible for a pension if<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> the imprisonment\/detention suffered by them was outside<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> India for six months or more.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In the case of women and SC\/ST freedom fighters<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> the minimum period of actual imprisonment for eligibility of<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> the pension\/Samman is three months.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">*Those who participated in the<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> Hyderabad Liberation Movement for the merger<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> of the erstwhile State of Hyderabad with the Union<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> of India during 1947-48, were made eligible for<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> grant of pension under the \u201cSwatantrata Sainik<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> Samman Pension Scheme, 1980\u201d by relaxing<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> the eligibility conditions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">**Those FFs who participated in the Hyderabad Liberation Movement up to 15.09.1948, i.e., before the police action in Hyderabad would be eligible for the grant of pension.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><sup>*&amp;** Added at the later stage, on the recommendations of two different committees.<\/sup><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\" language=\"javascript\"><br \/>\n      var aax_size='728x90';<br \/>\n      var aax_pubname = 's707-21';<br \/>\n      var aax_src='302';<br \/>\n    <\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" language=\"javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/c.amazon-adsystem.com\/aax2\/assoc.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">So\u00a0What all our Freedom Fighters and their dependents Get?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/32H50jj\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/>\nFor their unconditional\u00a0love and service to the nation and its\u00a0future. At one point in time, only one of the above-mentioned categories of dependents is eligible for family pension.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">What are other <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2tYEtur\" rel=\"noopener\">facilities<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>our Indian Freedom Fighters Get?<\/h4>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>The free railway passes (II AC in Rajdhani, Chair Car in Shatabdi and I Class\/AC Sleeper in all other trains) for freedom fighter or his widow, along with a companion,<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> for life<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Free medical facilities in all Central Government hospitals and hospitals<br \/>\nrun by PSUs under the control of the Bureau of Public Enterprises.<\/li>\n<li>C.G.H.S. facilities have also been extended to the freedom fighters and their eligible dependents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-wrid=\"WRID-150101053613542252\" data-widgettype=\"staticBanner\" data-responsive=\"yes\" data-class=\"affiliateAdsByFlipkart\"><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><script async src=\"\/\/affiliate.flipkart.com\/affiliate\/widgets\/FKAffiliateWidgets.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Telephone connection, subject to feasibility, without installation charges and on payment of only half the rental.<\/li>\n<li>General Pool residential accommodation (within the overall 5% discretionary quota) in Delhi.<\/li>\n<li>Transit accommodation in the Freedom Fighters\u2019 Home set up in New Delhi for the freedom fighters \/ eligible dependents.<\/li>\n<li>Free air travel facility to ex-Andaman freedom fighters \/ their widows to visit Andaman &amp; Nicobar Islands, once a year, along with a companion.<\/li>\n<li>Provision of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">4% reservation<\/span> under \u2018Combined Category\u2019 for Physically Handicapped Personnel (PH), Outstanding Sports Persons (OSP) and Freedom Fighters (FF) in normal selection procedure adopted by Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">for allotment of petrol pumps, gas agencies<\/span>, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p>And, the good this is all major facilities provided to the freedom fighters are also <strong><em>extended<\/em><\/strong> to their widows.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\">What&#8217;s more about Indian Freedom Fighters and their privileges?<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In some states like Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, there is the provision of reservation in employment or college entrance exams under for the freedom fighters or their dependents.<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Can you provide me with the list of\u00a0movements, mutinies, struggles considered for granting the Samman?<\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We&#8217;re obliged to do so. Here&#8217;s the List of movements, mutinies, struggles, etc., participation and suffering<br \/>\nin which is recognized for grant of pension under the Swatantrata Sainik Samman Pension Scheme, 1980. \u00a0But please understand that this is an administrative compilation and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">does NOT include all<\/span> movements in which our FFs have contributed.
