Manushi’s early life and upbringing
Born on 14th May 1997 in Rohtak, Haryana, Manushi belongs to a very learned family. Her father Mr.Mitra Basu Chhillar is by profession a scientist at Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and her mother Dr. Neelam Chhillar is a professor and Head of the Department of Neurochemistry at Institute of Human Behavior and Allied Sciences.

Manushi had completed her schooling from St. Thomas School, New Delhi and is currently a medical student pursuing MBBS from Bhagat Phool Singh Medical College in Sonipat. Unlike parents, Manushi was expected to become the doctor in the family but destiny had some other plans for her. Before winning the title of Miss World she had also won many other beauty pageant competitions such as Miss Femina Haryana 2017 and Femina Miss India 2017. 1] A trained dancer and her interest in acting
Manushi is a trained ‘Kuchipudi’ dancer with mentors as Raja and Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy. She has also attended the National School of Drama.
2] She took a break in her second year of medical graduation
As known, she’s a medical student currently pursuing MBBS but to proceed for a beauty pageant, she had taken a gap in her academics. She aspires to be a cardiac surgeon someday as a child of a scientist and neurochemistry professor.
3] She has undergone a skin treatment to make her skin flawless
Manushi has done excellent care of skin and hair under the supervision of Dr.Amit Karkhanis, Managing Director of Dr.Tvacha. He has stood by her all through her days of preparation.

4] A spontaneous campaigner spreading the awareness of hygiene in various villages
She has led a campaign named ‘Beauty with Purpose’ and started a project titled ‘Project Shakti’ where she worked as a spokesperson and spread awareness on menstrual hygiene visiting 20 villages.

5] Her hidden talents include poetry and writing skills
She enjoys writing poems in her spare time and be an All India CBSE topper in English (12th Standard) possess excellent writing skills as well.

Manushi stands out to be a person who understands the value of words at the correct time. The answer that she gave and cemented her wins that, “Being a mother is an only profession which deserves the highest salary, the highest respect, and love”. It defines her as a down to earth person who speaks straight from her heart.

Manushi became the 6th Indian woman to be crowned as Miss World title and she is thankful to former Miss India 2002 winner and actor Neha Dhupia as her mentor for her training for the beauty contest.
